Research interests

My research interests focus on the theoretical, numerical and observational study of turbulent flows, in particular, in the nonlinear dynamics of magnetized plasmas, both incompressible and compressible. I am also interested in the distinction between turbulent fluctuations and wave modes, as well as the use of different magnetohydrodynamic closure models such as CGL (Chew-Goldberger-Low) and coarse-grained (CG) to describe pressure anisotropy in collisionless plasmas.

I am a professor in the Physics Department at the University of Buenos Aires and a permanent researcher at the Institute of Interdisciplinary and Applied Physics (UBA–CONICET). I am also an associate researcher at the Institut Franco-Argentin de Dynamique des Fluides pour l’Environnement (UBA–CONICET) and at the Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas (École Polytechnique–Sorbonne Université).
